Mr. Raggio’s real estate expertise includes accounting, corporate finance, real estate finance, tax, and capital markets proficiency. Throughout his seventeen-year real estate he has been responsible for the structuring and analysis of complex and significant lease, purchase, sale, and development transactions on behalf of users and investors.
Mr. Raggio's significant experience includes over 25 million square feet of complex real estate transactions on behalf of users, including leases with carried equity, off-balance sheet structured leases, build-to-suits, sale/lease-back transactions and the detailed analysis of lease versus buy decisions. He has been involved with several complex acquisition and disposition assignments on behalf of institutional and foreign investors. He has had a wealth of experience with both corporate and governmental users, including Fortune 500 firms, city and state governments, universities, local school districts and professional firms. Mr. Raggio’s expertise includes identifying and analyzing the accounting (GAAP) and tax effect of transaction structures and creating solutions that meet clients’ requirements. He has created new lease structures and has won the approval of these structures with Big 4 accounting firms.
Mr. Raggio received a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson Graduate School of Management. Mr. Raggio is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, he served similar roles at Trammell Crow and Julien J. Studley, Inc. Prior to his work in the real estate industry, Mr. Raggio worked in the Tax Department at Price Waterhouse as well as in Security Pacific Bank’s Capital Markets Group.
