Chris has over 18 years of accounting and auditing experience. Prior to joining Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C, he was a Director of assurance services with a “Big 4” public accounting firm for eleven years serving clients in the retail, manufacturing and distribution industries. He has served both publicly traded and privately held companies with revenues ranging in size from development stage companies to companies with several billion dollars of revenues. He has significant experience in initial public offerings, debt offerings and secondary offerings.
Chris has led teams in the implementation of the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act at several companies, including fortune 500 corporations. He has a strong understanding of business processes and the appropriate controls to efficiently operate the business. He also has experience providing SAS 70 internal control assessments.
Relevant Experience
- Developed solutions for corporate management on various accounting matters with significant focus on business combinations, performance equity (stock option) arrangements, treasury transactions, earnings per share, equity investments, revenue recognition and restructuring charges and the related financial statement impacts.
- Instrumental in the IPO’s for several companies that collectively raised over $400 million dollars in new equity capital.
- Performed analysis of contracts and agreements related to joint ventures and acquisitions to determine the accounting treatments for purchase price allocations, valuations of intangibles, capitalization and amortization of costs, revenue recognition and profit/loss allocations
- Performed merger and acquisition services including financial due diligence representing buy side and sell side, leveraged buyouts, leveraged recapitalizations, management buyouts, and privatizations.
- Performed strategic risk assessments for several fortune 1000 companies.
