Chris Stern is Director of Business Development with Trimble Navigation Limited, a worldwide leader in GPS positioning and mobile technology. He is the former founder, Chairman and CEO of Spacient Technologies, a location-based wireless workforce management software business that he developed and sold to Trimble in November 2006 in an all cash transaction. Mr. Stern’s current responsibilities with Trimble focus on defining and implementing strategies for growth, including strategic acquisitions and partnerships, facilitating long term product strategy, and developing sales and marketing programs that drive revenue and profitability.
Prior to Trimble’s acquisition of his firm, Mr. Stern served as co-founder, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer for Blue Label Interactive, a mobile gaming and interactive media startup that was sold to Konami Digital Entertainment in June 2006.
Mr. Stern has over 17 years of experience developing and leading technology businesses and is actively involved in advising and investing in technology startups. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering from UCLA and Loyola Marymount University respectively, and is a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Marymount University.
