Tony Patel is a strategic advisor and business consultant to companies and has a successful record of helping companies drive shareholder value. Tony specializes in helping management teams identify, evaluate and implement strategic initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic financial planning, new growth opportunities and operational efficiencies. Tony has almost a decade of experience delivering results to companies as a management consultant, financial advisor, corporate executive, investment banker and corporate attorney.
Tony is currently the Managing Partner of Special Execution, a firm headquartered in southern California that advises and assists clients in a variety of strategic, operational and financial activities. Prior to Special Execution, Tony worked with the founders of PriceGrabber.com in southern California and led the company’s corporate development, spearheading the sale of the company for approximately $500 million to Experian North America. Before that, Tony was an investment banker at Montgomery & Co. in Santa Monica and JPMorgan (and its predecessor firm Chase H&Q) in San Francisco. Previously, Tony practiced corporate law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Los Angeles and Palo Alto.
A native of Los Angeles, Tony graduated early from high school and won a Regents Scholarship to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, from where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude) in Political Science in two years and received a Chancellor’s Service Award for his contributions to his community. Tony attended law school at Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley and received a Juris Doctor degree from the latter in 1999.
Tony is a member of the State Bar of California. He is also a member of the board of directors of the APADRC, a dispute resolution and mediation center based in Los Angeles.
